Money and Drugs

So I got tired of not being able to breathe out of my nose on a regular basis and went to the doctor on Saturday morning. I feel fine but I think by this point in time I have a sinus infection so I figured I'd go to the doctor, get some antibiotics and everything would be alright. After all, the place is called Good Doctor.

So I go there and talk to the doctor and the office kind of looks like my dad's office with a medical bench pushed back against the wall. Kinda weird.

He gave me a prescription for 3 days. Don't antibiotics take longer to work than that? I am skeptical as to the effectiveness of these little pills. Especially since several other teachers have also told me that they too are skeptical. And why would I listen to a doctor when I can listen to 10 other 20-somethings?

The drugs came in 9 little individual packages that were stuck together, much like Kathrine's homemade vitamin packets that she brought on the bike trip. Finally, Sophia's joke makes sense 3 months later.

The pills themselves look like this:

If my memory serves me correctly the last time I took antibiotics they were nice pink and blue capsules (recall 365 blog: day 1). I'm not saying that all antibiotics have to be pink and blue but I was under the impression that most of them were capsules.

I'm going back to see the doctor Monday. I saw another teacher over the weekend and she told me to ask the doctor for the shot. I don't really know what it is but apparently it makes you feel better.

I find this funny because the last time someone was given a mystery injection to help them feel better Judy Garland ended up strung out on amphetamines.

.....

In other news, I have decided to take a few months off as I have recently decided to retire from teaching as I have come into a lot of money.
